Did anyone hear about this study?

UCSF conducted a study of pregnant women and found 100% of them (the sample size was only 238, but still) were found to be contaminated with toxic chemicals. Many of the chemicals found in the women are in fact banned, but are believed to come from pesticides and phthalates (chemical plascticizers-it makes things shiny). Pthalates are known endocrine disruptors and can potentially lead to birth defects.

The article from Natural News goes on to recommend ways for everyone, but especially pregnant women to protect themselves from toxic chemicals. You can read the article here. But the main points are to try to eat USDA organic as often as possible, use all natural soaps and detergents, drink more water, try to avoid air fresheners, perfumed candles and opt for stainless steel cookware rather than non-stick pots and pans.
